In this video, I show you how to split test ClickFunnels page variations from the same funnel step in ClickMagick.
Normally, this would be pretty simply to do and I already covered this in one of my other videos (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKdN0Jpq5Tk&list=PLS46f4aLJ2hMFW0iuLowIfpQ0H-Tf4ion&index=3&t=154s), but the problem occurs when you use your own private domain.
What happens is, regardless of what path you put in for your two variations, your variations will not open properly based on the URL you provided.
So if my variation 1 has the path set as ‘variation1’ and my variation 2 has the path set as ‘variation2’, when I type in the URL http://www.mydomain.com/variation1, it’s possible that I will get variation 2 instead, and vice versa. The page that you get is totally random and will of course screw up your split testing since you won’t be able to see which variation actually performed better…
To get around this issue, we should simply clone the entire funnel step, and keep only 1 page variation per step.
You would then input the URL for the entire funnel step into your ClickMagick split testing feature (or whatever tracking system you’re using).
That way, you are forcing the system to go to either one or the other, and won’t get the same errors again.
