What a custom domain would look like: 0:34
How to set it up for you: 1:03
In this video, I show you how you can create a custom domain tracking link in your PeerFly account without needing to use a third party tracking tool. This is a pretty cool feature unique to PeerFly since it allows you to basically ‘cloak’ a nasty affiliate link without needing to use a third party software.
The result is that instead of having a link that looks something like ‘www.trkur.com/id=2222’, you would have ‘www.yourdomain.com/id=2222’. Definitely much more pleasing and easier to spread the word around with a domain name that matches your offer.
The way to do that is to first go to ‘tracking domains’ on the left hand side of your PeerFly account. You would need to have your domain already bought and ready, and I use Namecheap to buy mine, but you can use whatever site you are comfortable with.
You would input your domain in here, and then go back to your domain registrar site where you bought your domain, and input ONE OF THE VALUES for ‘A’ record that PeerFly provided you.
So in the case of Namecheap, you would go to DNS settings, and add one of the ‘A’ values with the host as @, and numerical value of whatever IP you chose.
Give it anywhere between 15 minutes to 24 hours to propagate, and you should be able to start using your new domain as a tracking link on PeerFly!
Here is my Namecheap affiliate link as well if you want to buy one of their really cheap domains and/or private email:
