In this post, I wanted to show you how to embed a YouTube video into your ClickFunnels page so that you have full customization options available for it. If you only paste the video into your page the easy way by simply inputting the URL in the designated field, the only options you really have is whether to make the video autoplay or not. You can’t even adjust the video size beyond a certain limit, and even then, it is a big pain in the butt trying to work with the ratios.
So in this video I wanted to help you with that and insert our own video so we have full control.
So the first thing we will need to do is to actually simply copy and paste the YouTube embed link of whatever video you want into the custom JS/HTML element in your ClickFunnels. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to see the results of our changes on the spot, and will have to hit ‘save’ and ‘preview’ to actually see what changes were made, but better than nothing!
After you input the HTML code, the video will basically be totally available to you. However, it will be fairly small and on the very left side of the row. So we can start off by just typing in (I will substitute square brackets for triangle brackets since they are for some reason now allowed on YouTubez!) [center] just before the video embed code. Upon saving, that will simply and easily put my video in the very middle of the row!
Next, we should probably adjust the size. I would recommend you maintain the ratios are you see them at default, and use a calculator to see what the exact height to width ratio is so that your video stays proportional after your changes. But to change the video size, just type in the new width and height numbers that you want in the ‘iframe’ section, it should already be input for you, and all you would have to do is just play around with the numbers.
Next, if you want to create a certain time for the video to start playing at, which is something I consider to be invaluable, you need to add the following AFTER your video: ‘?start=xxx’. Substitute the ‘xxx’ with the amount of seconds you want your video to start playing after, and your video will immediately skip to that part after you click ‘play’ on ClickFunnels!
Last but not least, the other important feature you will most likely be using here is the autoplay feature. All you would need to do is just input the following: ‘&autoplay=1’ right after your ‘start’ command. You are using the ampersand (&) because you need to separate the two commands from each other, and then 1 to signify ‘yes’ for autoplay.
Once you do all that, just click ‘save’ and preview’, and your video should be good to go! The best part about this is that you can always go back and edit anything you want in this video in terms of size, autoplay feature, or start time, and add any other features you may want to it manually.
