In this video, I show you how to create a sticky bar, or “alert bar” in Leadpages.
This is a really simple and awesome tool that allows you to grab the visitor’s attention and stay with them as they scroll down on your page.
Let’s go through this simple process in steps:
(1) From your Leadpages dashboard, click on “Conversion Tools” and select “Alert Bars”. Click on “Create new bar”, give your new sticky bar a name, and this is where we’ll be formatting and editing our new bar!
(2) You don’t have much choice when it comes to creating a sticky bar in Leadpages. But you do get 4 choices from which to pick from, and that’s generally enough for most people.
After you pick your “template”, you can change 3 things:
a) Color of the sticky bar background
b) Location of the sticky bar (top or bottom)
c) Stickiness of the sticky bar – do you want the bar to follow your visitors as they scroll on your page, or do you want it to stay in one place throughout the user interaction (top or bottom)?
(3) If you are collecting emails, make sure to set up your autoresponder as per the previous video with Leadpages.
Here is the video that covers how to do that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r62LL8SenEA&list=PLS46f4aLJ2hNDTL9TTu4NQBz-SLVEuaqx&index=4
(4) Once you are done customizing and playing around with the sticky bar, it’s time to go live with it!
Click on “publish” and you will be given a code to use on your site.
Plug that code in on whatever page you want the sticky bar to show up before the closing body tag.
And that’s it!
